Star Wars 7 News - 28th November

J.J Abrams has announced that the lightsaber battles in Episode 7 are going to be different from the battles in the prequel trilogy.
There's a lot wrong with the prequel trilogy and for me a lot of it was down to the lightsaber fights. As much as I enjoyed watching the fights they all seemed to choreographed and cheesy and you never really see the true power off a lightsaber because they're too busy being spun around. But if you look at the lightsabers in the original trilogy they seem to be a lot more powerful and dangerous which therefore made them more intense and exhilarating to watch. J.J has said he's focused more on the fighting style of the original trilogy rather than the prequel trilogy, here's what J.J Abrams said about this subject in an interview.
" When you look at Star Wars and Empire, they are very different lightsaber battles, but for me they felt more powerful because they were not quite as slick [as the prequels]. I was hoping to go for something much more primitive, aggressive and rougher, a throwback to the kind of heart-stopping lightsaber fights I remembered being so enthralled by as a kid."

I really hope that the final outcome of whatever J.J Abrams has created looks incredible and I have complete faith in him that he'll do the best. Only 3 more weeks left until Star Wars Episode 7, now that is exciting.
